Q: For whom is this program intended?
A: In general this program is designed to provide students with a systematic program of ICT study that will lead to the development of knowledge and skills in those aspects of ICT that are required for the workplace and university/ college admission. The best way to determine the level at which any individual students should enter this curriculum is by exploring the Previews of each book with particular focus on the instructional objectives. Books 1-4 provide basic instruction for younger students or those with little at the beginning of their study of this subject. Books 4-7 provide instruction for in the middle years of schooling. Books 8-10 provide training and more advanced instruction for senior students and those preparing to enter the workforce or to apply for college admission.  back

Q: What is the evaluation method used in this program?
A: The supervisor of instruction or the teacher or parent overseeing a young person's journey through this program is of course free to apply any means of assessing progress. However, the program does include a comprehensive continuous assessment process: Modules at each level are divided into skills and knowledge-focused units. At the end of each unit students may describe what they have learned and you may award a mark for each item covered. Marks are accumulated throughout the school year. A grade based upon the total mark may be awarded at any time during the year. There are no examinations in this curriculum.  back
Q: Is the content of each book regularly updated?
A: Yes. ICT changes quickly, so regular updating is essential. It is an advantage of e-books that modification and additions can be completed whenever required. Each book is examined every three months and appropriate modifications are made, particularly respecting web-site addresses. ITCA is constantly monitoring developments in ICT to ensure that the material is current.  back
Q: What is the purpose of instruction in programming?
A: Programming instruction is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of how to use a computer to create and design objects and processes. This is offered as a basis for the development of critical thinking and engineering skills. Only a few significant languages are introduced: Visual Basic, C++, Java, and Javascript. Skill in these languages greatly enhances a student's chances of gaining admission to engineering programs in major universities.  back
